Stringent Requirements for Enhanced Legal Security
Since 2010, the initiative aims to increase legal security for the use of cloud services from cloud computing providers based in Germany.
All members are required to meet the following standards:
- Headquarters and legal jurisdiction for all contractual and legal matters must be in Germany.
- Contracts with customers must include Service Level Agreements (SLAs) governed by German law.
- Local, German-speaking support must be available for customer enquiries.

Servers in Germany
A secure and reliable IT infrastructure is a given for us. We operate two data centers with over 100 servers in Frankfurt am Main. Our server architecture ensures high availability, even if individual nodes fail. Housed in state-of-the-art buildings, the server rooms are secured by access authorization and monitored (via video). Our data protection management and data processing comply with German legal standards.
Update Guarantee
We guarantee automatic, monthly updates of the software to introduce new functions and features that ease your daily work, as well as to implement security-relevant improvements. Updates are released on the first Tuesday of each month. We transparently communicate the changes we make in our release news, ensuring your software is always up to date with the latest developments.
Automatic Backups
You have 24/7 access to your data, no matter where you are. onOffice takes all necessary precautions to protect you against data loss and prevent unauthorized third-party access to your system. To safeguard your data, we automatically create backups of your database at regular intervals, which are stored on a backup server in Düsseldorf. This ensures geographically separated storage of your data.
